During the war, this company worked efficiently under Edward Krausse, who secretly handed over flour for baking bread for Majdanek prisoners and for the resistance movement.  As the only Polish company Lubella, produces pasta and grain products milled in its own mill.  The company uses only the highest quality raw materials supplied by the best and verified suppliers. Pasta is made from wheat from trusted farmers with whom Lubella has worked for years. A special milling process makes it possible to obtain flour which makes the pasta sufficiently hard and perfectly resilient. The appropriate drying process ensures that Lubella pasta does not stick together and retains its natural aroma and golden colour.  As part of its charity work, Lubella supports schools, kindergartens, orphanages and nursing homes. It also supports campaigns for science and education. As part of a campaign operating under the slogan Lubella Łączy, the company has donated food products to orphanages all over Poland. In 1993, the idea for “Kubuś” puree juice was born, and a year later its first production took place, which continues to this day.  In 1996, the plant joined the Maspex Group, which initiated the dynamic development of the company. Currently, in Olsztynek, apart from the production of the most popular children’s drink products under the Kubuś brand, products of the well-known and valued brands Tymbark, Caprio, DrWitt, as well as those known abroad are produced, including Relax, Tedi, Kubu, Kubik, and TopJoy.  This is also the site of the purchase of raw materials – around 100,000 tonnes of fresh fruit and vegetables per year.  The Olsztynek plant is also a modern, fully automated logistics centre established in 2018, with 30,000 pallet spaces.

The Olsztynek plant is identified mainly with Kubuś carrot and fruit juices. The brand used to be known mainly for its puree juices, but today it offers the youngest a whole range of drinking products and fruit mousses.  In Olsztynek, NFC (Not From Concentrate) juices are produced – these are juices squeezed out of the fruit immediately after picking and packed in bottles under aseptic conditions. The juices are characterised by a thick texture and exceptional taste – currently available in the market, the flavours Antonówka Apple, Champion Apple and Apple-Peach are made in Olsztynek.  The Kubuś brand is known for its nationwide social projects. It is the organiser of one of the largest national educational programmes for kindergartens and primary schools dedicated to ecology  – “Kubuś and the Friends of Nature.” So far, over 5 million children have already taken part in the campaign, and every second kindergarten in Poland is learning the way to take care of nature together with Kubuś, as well as to appreciate the role of vegetables and fruit in a proper diet and spend time actively.  Kubuś is also changing hospital wards, as part of the artistic project “Kubuś and his Hospitals”, to make little patients forget their sorrows for a while. The group of “Kubuś and his Hospitals” is constantly being joined by other pediatric wards all over Poland – there are already over 50 of them!  The company continues to grow, responding to consumer needs and investing in new lines. Over the last few years the machine park has grown from a few to a dozen production lines.
