The delicate taste and refined aroma of the whisky are achieved thanks to five unique elements that form the foundation of the drink. Of particular importance are the experience and skill of the master distillers, as well as the attentiveness and perfectionism of the coppersmith, who ensures the perfect condition of the stills. The burning, repair, and filling of the barrels play a significant role, which is why the distillery employs skilled master coopers. All of this gives The Balvenie whisky its unique character and inimitable flavor. The Balvenie is the only distillery in the Scottish Highlands to maintain the tradition of floor malting in its own malthouse and still grow and produce its own malted barley.
