Development and implementation of an energy management system using renewable energy sources in the area of technologies sensitive to power continuity

Project location:
Consortium Leader: Polish Grain Plant Lubella GMW Sp. z o. o. Sp.k., ul. Wrotkowska 1, 20-469 Lublin
Consortium Partner: Lublin University of Technology, Nadbystrzycka 38D, 20-618 Lublin
The project is implemented under the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020, Measure: 1.1. R&D projects of enterprises, Sub-Measure 1.1.1. Industrial research and development work carried out by enterprises.
The aim of the project is to develop, produce and implement a system for managing the energy and cost efficiency of technological and background processes at the Applicant's plant by installing its own RES-PV source and its non-invasive integration with operational processes using the methodology of dynamic power mode models.
The project involves R&D work to build a system that enables dynamic management of energy flows from an unstable source (photovoltaic panels). The system will be characterized by transparency of power modes (reducing the complexity of the model controlling the structure of electricity flows in the applicant's internal power grid). Furthermore, it will enable dynamic switching of individual loads between power modes. The system will support operators' decision-making by classifying individual energy flows into power modes and will be responsive enough to enable the development of DSR services.
The effect of the project will be the introduction of additional organizational procedures to the operational activities of the Leader, supported by a tool in the form of a prototype energy efficiency management system.
