Self learning and auto calibrating system for vision based quality inspection of food labels

As part of the project, together with EIT Food partners, we are developing and commercializing an automated label quality control system for food production lines.

This project aligns with EIT Food's goals of reducing waste and optimizing the use of available resources. Through digital management, the system promotes transparency and traceability in the food system.

The innovative label quality testing system, created as part of the R&D project, will ensure 100% automated product control on production lines for two product categories – jars and pouches – while simplifying the quality control procedure.

As a result of the project, an innovation will be introduced to the market that will improve the safety of food products and optimize the quality control system through the use of auto-calibration and parameterization algorithms.

The project is being implemented as part of EIT Food, and the consortium members are Grupa Maspex Sp. z o. o., Fruktus Agros Nova sp. z o. o. Sp. k., and Tymbark-MWS Sp. z o. o., as well as technology partner KSM Vision and the Hungarian innovation institute Campden BRI Hungary.
