Bruichladdich

Unlike neighboring distilleries on Islay, Bruichladdich whisky is made without peat. Without the influence of smoke, it reveals the full character of its most valuable ingredient—the barley. Moving beyond established whisky traditions, the production process involves tracing the ingredients from source to bottling, taking into account each growing season, the subtle differences between barley varieties, and their cultivation methods.

Bruichladdich's mission, which began as a quest for flavor and the transfer of terroir to the world of whisky, evolved into a deep understanding of the inextricable link between whisky and agriculture. Today's approach demonstrates that whisky can be a force for positive change—reestablishing the connection between land, community, and glass.
