Project location: Fruktus Agros Nova Sp. z o. o. Sp.k., Wąsosz Dolny, ul. Traugutta 130, 42-110 Popów

The main goal of the project is The development and implementation of innovative controlled cooling technologies will significantly reduce raw material losses during storage. The project focuses on creating effective technological solutions that will enable precise control of environmental parameters in cold rooms, such as temperature, humidity, and airflow. This innovative approach will extend the shelf life of raw materials while maintaining their high quality, which will translate into increased production efficiency and reduced operating costs.

The project will result in the development of:

implementation of controlled cooling technology with precise monitoring of parameters (temperature, humidity).

cooling installation equipped with a heat recovery system.

developed carbon footprint analysis methodology for refrigeration and storage processes.

reduction of raw material losses: reduction of losses by minimizing degradation processes (drying, mold, rotting).

energy consumption optimization: the project envisages the use of energy-saving heat recovery systems and natural refrigerants (propaneR290), which will reduce energy consumption.

reduction of greenhouse gas emissions: thanks to the optimized storage process and the use of ecological refrigeration technologies, the project reduces the carbon footprint of the entire production cycle

The project is being implemented in a partnership consisting of Fruktus Agros Nova Sp. z o. o. Sp. k. (Lead Partner) and the Institute of Agricultural and Food Biotechnology, State Research Institute.

The project received funding from the Silesian Entrepreneurship Center under the European Funds for Silesia 2021-2027 Programme (European Regional Development Fund) for Priority: FESL.01.00 – European Funds for smart growth for Measure: FESL.01.02 – Research, development and innovation in enterprises.

Project duration: 01/01/2025 – 31/12/2026

Eligible project expenses: PLN 5,683,019.12
