2021: Fit Kid

EIT Food Project Fit Kid

Intensive cooperation with the University of Warsaw led to the creation of a game prototypeGrafa-F-FIT-KID.png Lunchbox Master.

Our common goal was to learn about the state of knowledge children aged 10-12 about the principles of healthy eating, physical activity, and the difficulties they encounter when composing their meals. As part of the project, we developed a game that will help children better understand what a healthy diet is. On this occasion, we created Lunchbox Master game prototype , which is to become a full-size game in the next edition.

During the development and testing of the application, we were supported by a total of 183 students from all over Poland , in addition, doctors, teachers, dietitians, scientists, and representatives of foundations that care about children's health and nutrition were also involved in its creation. From the beginning, the project was also involved prof. Ph.D. n. med. Piotr Socha – Professor of Pediatrics and Gastroenterology at the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Nutritional Disorders and Pediatrics, and Deputy Director for Research at the Children's Health Institute (CMHI) in Warsaw, the reference pediatric hospital for Poland. Ultimately, the full-size game will be used by teachers and parents to educate children about nutrition.

We hope that work on the game will continue in 2022, and we will find out to what extent after the evaluation, which will take place at the turn of 2021/2022.
