The project aims to conduct comprehensive industrial research and development work to develop an innovative platform for analyzing distributed and heterogeneous data. The resulting solution (a technologically complex analytical system/platform) will consist of:

[1] hardware layers – intelligent Internet of Things devices (telemetry shelves and telemetry modules), the purpose of which will be to obtain data from various sales channels.

[2] software layers – special software that analyzes the collected data.

The need for this project stems from the complexity, quantity, and volume of market data used in the Applicant's sales and promotional optimization processes. The sheer volume and diversity of data (unstructured data from various channels—stores, vending machines) poses significant challenges for the Applicant in obtaining relevant, reliable data for analytical purposes and building highly accurate recommendation and distribution models for sales and promotional activities. This phenomenon can be defined as the Data Rich Information Poor (DRIP) syndrome, which adversely affects the efficiency of undertaken activities. An innovative platform for analyzing distributed and heterogeneous data will support promotional and sales activities undertaken in modern, traditional, and alternative channels. The platform will generate recommendations for the Applicant's distribution channels.
