Establishment of a Research and Development Center in the areas of innovative warehouse and logistics processes

The project included the construction of a Research and Development Centre and equipping it with the necessary infrastructure in the areas of innovative warehousing and logistics processes for ZPOW Agros Nova in Łowicz.
Funding was provided for infrastructure directly related to the project's objectives, which supports R&D work aimed at developing innovative technologies and solutions for warehousing and picking processes. The project enabled the creation of new jobs and sustained collaboration with research centers – the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing in Poznań – and SMEs – Quantum Qguar Sp. z o.o. during the implementation of the R&D agenda.
The construction and launch of the Research and Development Centre allowed for the development of optimal methods for warehouse management, logistics processes, transport management, warehouse management, material flow, optimal resource management, and the creation of conditions for generating new technological concepts, the implementation of which brings benefits for the development and optimization of warehousing and logistics processes across the entire Maspex Group.
The R&D agenda covers the areas of Big Data, Internet of Things, advanced data mining and artificial intelligence, which is consistent with the concept of Industry 4.0/Logistics 4.0.
The project was implemented through the Entrepreneur Service Centre in Łódź as part of the Regional Programme of the Łódź Voivodeship for 2014-2020, Axis Research, Development and Commercialisation of Knowledge, Sub-measure: R&D Infrastructure of Enterprises.
