#AnnualFoodAgenda Q3 2019

“Inspirational facts about food and nutrition” two-day event within Maspex Open Days  Date and time: 16 September 2019, Wadowice, 8.45 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.; 17 September 2019, Tychy, 9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.   Place:   Grupa Maspex Sp. z o.o. Strefowa 2, 43-100 Tychy  In Wadowice and Tychy Maspex Group’s Open Days were held in connection with the event :”Inspirational facts about food and nutrition” organised as part of the #AnnualFoodAgenda project. On 16 September nearly 200 students and teachers from Wadowice High Schools and Technicians visited the company’s headquarters in Wadowice, while on 17 September nearly 150 students and teachers from Tychy, Lędzin and Pszczyna had the opportunity to learn about the activities of the Ekoland production plant and the M-Logistic logistics and distribution centre.

 

 

 

 

In the programme developed together with the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, many attractions were prepared for participants. All participants listened to a presentation on the activities of Maspex Group as one of the largest food companies in Central and Eastern Europe. In Tychy, one of its Directors, who has been connected with the plant from the very beginning, i.e. for 20 years, talked personally about the plant’s activity.

 

 

 

 

In addition, the guests were guided through the modern production hall as well as the fully automated warehouse. Each group was able to ask questions directly to the Director of Logistics, who was happy to share his knowledge and experience with the young people and effectively stimulated the young people’s brain cells. Pupils from the classes with technical profiles were told by representatives of technical departments about the technologies used in the plants. In Wadowice, a game was prepared for the guests in the Escape Room developed by the HR team and showing what modern techniques of evaluating candidates are currently used during the recruitment process. Participants could also learn how the company uses the latest technology to train employees from specific departments. Presentations conducted by scientists from the Polish Academy of Sciences presented information on food and nutrition so that each participant could gain a portion of useful knowledge that will allow them to develop #healthiernutrition eating habits. Pupils gained knowledge about proper nutrition, important components of diet and also got to know the background of production of selected food products.
